Support Our Youth:
The Ithaca Youth Bureau, IthacaYouthBureau.org
The mission of the Ithaca Youth Bureau is to provide a broad cross section of recreation programs and youth services to promote the health, happiness and well-being of all residents in the greater Ithaca area.
The Ithaca Youth Bureau has served Ithaca's Youth for 60 years by providing a wide variety of recreation programs and youth services to promote health, happiness and well-being. There are 7,500 Ithaca area youth and their families who are served annually. Program areas include: sports leagues and lessons, expressive arts programs, summer day camps, after school programs, recreation support services, an outdoor adventure program,jobs and employment training for teens, a computer recycling program, a Big Brother/Big Sister program, tutoring and academic support, a stay and play program for tots, and sponsorship of community events. In addition, the IYB manages Cass Park, a municipal park featuring a picnic pavilion, two play grounds, 21 athletic fields, an outdoor aquatics center featuring Olympic and kiddie sized swimming pools, a skating rink and a two mile waterfront recreation trail.
